• The sky being constantly colored orange has fans joking about the state of air pollution in Morioh.
• Josuke and Okuyasu are a bromance. ^Explanation Okuyasu quickly becomes Josuke's close friend and sort of brother-figure, but with some fans interpreting their relationship as a more intimate one, jokes abounded of the "bromance" culture.
• DORARARARARARARARARARARARARARARARA—!! ^Explanation Josuke's Kiai line.
• And so began a beautiful friendship. ^Explanation Koichi first meets Okuyasu after Okuyasu, initially an antagonist, slams Koichi's head into a gate, and later Josuke defeats Okuyasu by strangling him until he passes out. The fact that they become the closest and truest of friends later on despite this violent introduction was widely parodied by the fandom.
• Josuke's fear of turtles is quite memetic in the fandom. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind made this Hilarious in Hindsight after Polnareff's soul becomes trapped in a turtle's body after his death, leading to jokes about Josuke being terrified of Polnareff.
• The infamous "DUWANG" "Blind Idiot" Translation of part 4, which was originally done by a Chinese student for his English class project. ^Note The name Duwang comes from the translation of the name of the town Morioh, since in Japanese the name is written as 杜王町 and is pronounced "Morioh-cho". These same characters can be read as "Duwang ting" in Chinese.

  • "Let's investigate his secret sex affairs!" ^Explanation Okuyasu and Josuke, peeping on Koichi's date with Yukako; made even funnier since Josuke is the result of a "secret sex affair" between Joseph and his mom.
  • "Are you okay reatard? I am wood. stupid" ^Explanation Surface (a wooden mannequin, though at that point disguised as Josuke), says this to Hazamada when Hazamada tries to punch him and hurts his hand.

  • "I AM THE FUCKING STRONG" ^Explanation This one isn't actually from the Duwang translation and is just an edit, but it has reached meme status nonetheless due to many confusing it as a Duwang quote.
  • "KOICHI REALLY STEALS? NO DIGNITY" ^Explanation Josuke spreading fake rumors about Koichi in a bid to get Yukako off his back.

  • "I feel you! I feel you deeply! Your feeling I can feel deeply."

  • "Remember what I told you? YOU are the super retard!"
  • "The first time I saw her, with hands on her knee... how do I say this... I had a boner..." ^Explanation Another Duwang classic that is rapidly gaining steam: A delirious and badly beaten Yoshikage Kira explains to a random woman about how he got an erection just from looking at the Mona Lisa, which is why he kills women and takes their severed hands as "girlfriends." Even crazier is how, despite sounding like a product of the notoriously shoddy translation quality of Duwang, it's quite accurate to the original Japanese. The original panel even has the kanji for "erection" and crude speech patterns inside of that very same speech bubble.
    • "It gave me a ROCK HARD COCK/ROCK HARD [REDACTED]" ^Explanation The official dub line for the scene. It was censored on the Toonami broadcast, likely due to the sexual nature of the line, but many found the use of the bleep funny. DC Douglas later confirmed on Twitter that the word that was censored was "cock".
  • "啊!/ABAJ!" ^Explanation Among many traits in Duwang scans, sound effects and Chinese characters in speech bubbles weren't translated. One of these is "啊", translated to "Ah". Many western fans read the character as "ABAJ" and have associated it with the Duwang translation ever since.
  • Vinesauce's Joel has done two wonderful readings of highlights from the Duwang translation here and here that have helped the meme gain popularity. The improved Invincible Trio translations in the making keep a few of the more memorable lines as in-jokes and the TV anime is even being "translated" in this style by one fansub group.
• Koichi, did you lay this egg? ^Explanation A parody of the CLAMP manga and Kakyoin laying an egg, stemming from how the first form of Echoes, when manifested by Koichi, is an inert egg that only hatches once Koichi becomes powerful enough.
• Okuyasu is Kakyoin's MILF-hunting buddy ^Explanation One of the very first lines Okuyasu has after his Heel–Face Turn is to note that Josuke's mom is hot, even breaking out a Gratuitous English line to do so. Naturally, comparisons are made with Kakyoin from the previous part.
  • Kakyoin's legacy lives on ^{Explanation (spoilers)} As Kakyoin is long since dead by the time Diamond is Unbreakable starts, some have taken to declaring that Okuyasu is now carrying Kakyoin's MILF-loving torch. This video even makes use of "He Lives In You", which itself has seen a few JoJo variants.
• "I'm gonna 'fix' that spaghetti, and reduce it to its original ingredients!" ^Explanation After Okuyasu becomes affected by Tonio's Stand, Pearl Jam, Josuke decides to punch the spaghetti Okuyasu ate with Crazy Diamond to reduce it into its original ingredients, to find out if Tonio tampered with the food somehow. It's considered one of the best examples of It Makes Sense in Context in the fandom, and often used in conjunction with other pasta-related memes. Made even more memetic in that, out of all possible choices, the pose he makes with Crazy Diamond when he summons it to punch the spaghetti, is for some reason the go-to pose for him in most JoJo media ◊.
• Kinkshaming Kira ^Explanation Yoshikage Kira is a serial killer who kills women and keeps their hands as "girlfriends" due to essentially having a fetish for hands. Thus the joke that the whole point of the protagonists defeating him in Part 4 is to shame him for his sexual interests.
• "Dr. Jotaro Kujo: Respected 28 year-old marine biologist with a PhD., married man, and father to a six year old girl. Goes to Japan to sort out his grandfather's inheritance and almost immediately gets into a fist-fight with a teenager." ^Explanation He accidentally insulted Josuke's hair and threw a pre-emptive punch when he saw Josuke summon Crazy Diamond, but to the non-Stand users present (i.e. Koichi and some of Josuke's female classmates), it looks like he punched a teenager for no reason. It doesn't help that he told the girls to shut up and stop crying, because it makes him come off as a Jerkass.
• Jotaro vs. A Rat ^Explanation One episode has Jotaro and Josuke trying to hunt down a Stand-using rat, which has gained the ability to melt people's flesh into jelly. Jotaro is severely wounded by the rat, prompting jokes from the fandom that a little rodent actually came closer to killing Jotaro than even DIO ever did. A variation also mentions Stray Cat nearly killing Kira Yoshikage, joking that "Jojo animals are hardcore".
• Koichi is the Polnareff of Part 4 ^Explanation Hmmm, silver-haired sidekick who always suffers ridiculous indignities and is often the first victim of an enemy Stand? The two have quite a lot in common.
  • The joke gained traction when Koichi cuts his hair to resemble Polnareff's. Jokes have compared his small stature to the time when Alessi turned Polnareff into a little kid. Some fans have even started calling him Smolnareff!
  • With the reveal that Josuke patterned his hair out of gratitude to the mysterious teen who saved his life, fans have joked about Polnareff saving Koichi who then does the same.
  • The following part is book-ended by Giorno meeting these two (Koichi at the beginning arcs, Polnareff in the final arc).
• NO WEAKNESS ^Explanation Kira referring to his Killer Queen's secondary bomb - "Sheer Heart Attack... has NO WEAKNESS." Often followed up by someone pointing out Sheer Heart Attack's weakness.
• "This is Sheer Heart Attack. It goes after the hottest thing in the room." ^Explanation This meme template has three panels: Jotaro's explanation of how Sheer Heart Attack works, followed by a picture of an attractive person (Fan Disservice or Fetish Retardant is sometimes used instead), and finally, Sheer Heart Attack with Glowing Eyes of Doom representing that it's chosen the subject of the second panel as its target.
  • "Why is Heart Attack taking so long?" ^Explanation Said by Kira as he waits for Sheer Heart Attack to finish off Jotaro and Koichi. Often taken out of context to portray Kira as waiting for an actual heart attack.
• Rohan's response of "But I refuse ^note Common fan translation/Like hell I will! ^note ASB translation/Daga kotowaru ^note Romanji/だが断る/Sorry, but I refuse! ^note Viz dub" ^Explanation This meme references when Highway Star commands him to call Josuke for help and thus lead him into a trap, is also a popular meme in the Japanese community, applied to any less than stellar Jojo-related info, product, or news, or even anything in general. Ironically, Rohan uses this line and claims that he likes to say "NO!" to the faces of people who think they're hot shit, despite Rohan himself fitting that bill a good deal. It's also seen as an act of badassery on Rohan's part, as he was in mortal peril and an inch away from losing his life to Highway Star only to rudely deny Highway Star's demand anyhow.
• Here comes a special boy! ^Explanation Okuyasu is adored by the western fanbase. Expect any screencaps or art of him to be captioned with this.
  • "Okuyasu has an X mark on his face because he is a treasure."
• "You said everyone was looking for me"/"Killer Queen has already touched the doorknob" ^{Explanation (spoilers)} The events leading to Shigechi's death have been memed pretty well.
• "What the FUCK did you say about my hair!?"/"I DARE you to insult my hair again!'''" ^Explanation It's common for fans to insult Josuke's hair for laughs, which is almost always replied to by this very phrase, and thanks to All-Star Battle, a certain .gif ◊ of this very phrase began to circulate as an appropriate reaction image.
  • Josuke insults his own hair.
• The rain sounds like Josuke. ^Explanation After Jotaro mistakes Josuke's screams for the rain, a small scale meme has cropped up around it. Such examples include reacting to Jotaro apparently having difficulty hearing, or depicting scenes of rain with Josuke screaming as background audio.
  • This is a case of Artistic License gone wrong. The manga has loud rain sound effects dominating pages to signify how loud the rain is, but the rain is softened in the anime so that dialogue can be heard clearly.
  • Memes have also been made about Jotaro damaging his hearing when he fired a gun next to his ear while in prison.
• "The real protagonist of Part 4: ambulance." ^{Explanation (spoilers)} A joke making light of Kira's rather mundane death: accidentally backed over by an ambulance.
• Green Super Saiyan ^Explanation In his battle with Tamami, Koichi's hair stands up in spikes and a glowing green aura surrounds him, drawing comparisons to the Super Saiyans of Dragon Ball Z, particularly Gohan due to Koichi's small stature. Echoes Act 1 resembling Imperfect Cell has also not been lost on fans.
• "OKAY, MASTER! LET'S KILL DA HO! BEEEEEEEEEEEETCH!" ^Explanation A line said by Echoes Act 3. Note that he was actually just supposed to blackmail the target for information regarding Highway Star's user (which he does), not kill her.
  • "S-H-I-T!" ^Explanation What Echoes Act 3 usually says when he's annoyed. Or just for no reason at all.
• Yoshikage Kira just wanted a normal life ^Explanation Often said by people who think that Kira did nothing wrong, simply viewing him as a normal guy.
• FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DROP THE MEAT ^Explanation The English dub gives Josuke this line when Okuyasu starts hungrily devouring Tonio's roast lamb, which Josuke thinks is going to kill him. Since "meat" in Internet culture is also slang for male genitalia, the quote was parodied with a ton of sexual connotations.
• water. (it's a very long word in japanese) ^Explanation This parody subtitle became well known for completely butchering the dialog of Josuke and Okuyasu at the restaurant, most notably when Okuyasu's lengthy description of how great the water tastes is just literally "translated" into 'water'.
• Yoshikage Kira's English dub voice has people joking about how normal he sounds, with other fans saying "if he sounds so ordinary, then that's exactly the point!"
• "Are you one of the injured too?" ^Explanation A paramedic said this line to an obviously injured Josuke, covered in blood and a wooden stake impaling his thigh. The paramedic has since been photoshopped onto other scenes of characters being gravely wounded or killed. The English dub writers likely took notice of this and changed it to "I need you to just lie down". Fans agree this made way more sense.
• "My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old." ^Explanation When Kira's secret is discovered by Shigechi, he proceeds to launch into an extremely long and ridiculously elaborate speech which essentially amounts to an account of his daily life, all the while somehow managing to maintain an air of menace that prevents Shigechi from simply running away as he monologues. Because of the absurdity of the situation, this speech has been made into a copypasta.
• Kira is Wesker ^Explanation Kira's English dub voice is DC Douglas, who did Wesker's voice in Resident Evil.
• Koichi Kidnapping Squad. ^Explanation The third opening features a part where Yukako and Rohan pose together. Conveniently enough, they're the only two people who kidnapped Koichi.
• Josuyasu is canon now ^Explanation Okuyasu, intoxicated by Shigechi's drugging him with alcohol, drunkenly refers to him and Josuke as the 'Josuyasu team'. However, given that name mash-ups are a common feature of fandom shipping...
• Shigechi's English dub voice has been frequently compared to Cartman from South Park.
• Giorno never met Josuke ^Explanation The fact that Giorno never actually meets Josuke is commonly discussed in the fandom: the two have completely separate arcs, only sharing the fact that they both meet Koichi. As such, it's been frequently speculated by fans what kind of relationship the two would have, mostly them bonding over their hair vanity and desire to fight for good, though divided by Josuke's friendliness vs. Giorno's murderous ruthlessness.
  • The sharp contrast in tone between parts 4 and 5 is also widely memed, especially how Josuke tends to befriend and reform most of the minor antagonists of his part, while Giorno tends to mercilessly and brutally murder them, despite both of them on the side of justice.
• "Hayato." ^Explanation In one scene, Yoshikage Kira, disguised as Kosaku Kawajiri, puts his face very close to the camera as he says Hayato's name. This was quickly parodied extensively, mostly with the "This person tried to open your phone" meme.
• Plenty of things involving Dub!Rohan: ^Explanation When Diamond is Unbreakable's anime got localized, notable voice actor Vic Mignogna was cast in the role of the mangaka and proceeded to give him a fittingly creepy and sleazy voice. At the time the dub was still going, Vic got hit with several sexual harassment allegations of which people are still torn on whether or not they're true. Despite the allegations having a huge negative impact on his career, the localization team kept Vic as Rohan throughout the dub's run, which only served to add even more memes to Rohan's resume.
  • Rohan's manga has been pulled due to accusations of him hating kids. ^Explanation A joke playing off the controversial #KickVic movement when Mignogna was revealed to still be playing Rohan during the controversy, as the Janken episode aired in its dub form around the same time. Variations such as #GoBanRohan and #IStandWithRohan also began to spread like wildfire.
  • Additionally, Josuke beating up Rohan for insulting his hair is often memetically compared with Vic's accusations angering people enough to start the #KickVic movement, and Rohan's indefinite hiatus to recover from the beating is likened with Vic's indefinite hiatus from the voice acting business.
  • Funimation: "Let's have a truce." Vic: "Sorry, but I refuse." ^Explanation This is often used by Vic's supporters in reference to the defamation lawsuits against Funimation following his hiatus.
• The ending theme being All Star by Smash Mouth. ^Explanation The Part 3 anime used "Walk Like An Egyptian" as the ED because it was the most popular song of 1989, when the story is set. As Part 4 takes place in 1999, many were quick to speculating it as the ED before its release.
• After the first PV for the Part 4 anime was released, many fans were quick to make jokes about Jotaro's rather... off looking redesign, notably that he now wears a white hat, yet his black hair still seems to merge into it.
• Koichi's first meeting with Jotaro involves crashing into him, but the anime looks more like he bounced off of his crotch, so many jokes were made about this. As was the fact that Koichi bumping into Jotaro's groin area made a metal clanging noise...
• Zendaya Kujo ^Explanation American Actress Zendaya posted a picture of herself wearing an outfit that strikingly resembled Jotaro's part four attire. As expected, Jojo fans flooded her comment section, one even going so far as to edit Lil Nas X behind her as a stand.
• The ear worm that is the Morioh Radio jingle. Mori-mori-morioooooh-cho Radiooooo~
• The Koichi pose ◊. ^Explanation One of the scenes from the Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town opening features Koichi, who runs towards the camera and poses as he summons his Stand... except, Echoes doesn't actually appear until he gets his Stand during the events of the story. Thus, for the first few episodes, what happens is that Koichi poses, absolutely nothing of note happens, and the camera lingers for an uncomfortably long time before moving on to the next scene.
• Fan designs for Part 4!Kakyoin are rising in popularity. The Japanese fandom on Twitter in particular has been drawing on screenshots of Jotaro to add him in it.
• Peed Agon ^Explanation In episode 11 of the part 4 anime, the episode closes with a SPW foundation member talking to Joseph, the shot includes the member's hat reading as "peed agon" instead of Speedwagon thanks to the angle of his head ◊.
• Quality Queen/Deadly Queen ^Explanation The names given by some fans to the off-model shot of the stand Killer Queen in episode 21 of the Diamond is Unbreakable anime. The second name stems from the lawyer-friendly substitute for the original name used in official subs, and is often used to mockingly distinguish Killer Queen's anime version from his original manga depiction.
• "Let the joy of love give you cancer". ^Explanation Commonly misheard lyrics "Let the joy of love give you an answer" from the third opening of Diamond is Unbreakable, Great Days.
• "Koichi, New Meme King". ^Explanation Koichi has rapidly been gaining many exploitables ◊ since the Part 4 anime started, such as the Koichi Pose, Koichi Window Edits, and let's not get started on the introduction of Act ◊ 3 ◊.
• "Kira's theme makes everything better". ^Explanation Many videos have Kira's theme make a situation comedic or tenser.
  • "Please, don't turn me into an oversimplified logo!" ^Explanation Already a popular standalone meme as is, almost every single video version of this meme has Kira's theme playing in the background, with many viewers asking what song it is.
• Shoesuke ◊ ^Explanation A shitpost of Josuke edited down to a Waddling Head. That's it, really.
  • Alternatively, the meme that his hair looks like a shoe, a common parody of the various hair insults the characters have to piss him off.
• OI, JOSUKE ^Explanation A meme template that involves Okuyasu next to some multi-coloured Wordart text, often centering around Okuyasu jovially exclaiming to Josuke about either some rather ◊ bizarre ◊ facts ◊ that tend to be mildly dark, or some ◊ increasingly ◊ distressing ◊ mishaps ◊ he finds himself in as a result of misusing The Hand.
  • Oi, Josuke! I accidentally erased my dick with ZA HANDO! Can you fix it!? ^Explanation The fandom joking about Okuyasu accidentally erasing his dick while having A Date with Rosie Palms, asking Josuke to fix it...and then because he's really dumb, doing it again. And again, and again.
• This Vine has become associated with Josuke because he learns that he's half-British, and because Vines of teenage boys saying and doing stupid things are often associated with Josuke and Okuyasu.
• "I'm gonna fix that girl up!" ^Explanation A popular edit of the infamously depressing and extremely NSFW doujin Emergence Metamorphosis where Josuke and Okuyasu appear and Josuke uses his Stand to give the protagonist a happy ending. The popularity of the edit is enough that it's hosted on nhentai, in spite of not having anything pornographic in it.
• Oh dear, looks like you have seen it. ^Explanation Spoken by Kira as Shigechi discovers his little secret, and partially eclipsed by his more famous monologue right above, it has been used as a foreimage of He Knows Too Much on meme pages, like when someone sees the anime watchlist not having the first 2 parts, or when someone else discovers the browsing history.
• "BVVVVVVVVVVVVVV"/ "🅱️" ^Explanation Used to describe the sound The Hand makes.
• Mikitaka is KARS ^Explanation There's a theory that Mikitaka is an amnesiac Kars who thinks he's an alien
  • "Friends don't throw friends into active volcanoes!"
• Akira is Kars. ^Explanation Comparisons between Kars and Akira Otoshi abound, due to both having long purple hair, both having attempted to kill Joseph, and both being electric guitar players (Kars having mocked Lisa Lisa by pretending to strum her legs like a guitar in one famous scene in Battle Tendency.)
• And then Josuke died of a broken spine. ^Explanation The very last time we see Josuke in the anime at the end of the final episode has Josuke striking a pose where he bends his body backwards. As he disappears entirely from the plot afterwards, not even being mentioned in Parts 5 and 6 and the resulting universe reset after part 6, some fans joked that Josuke just straight-up died from posing and was never heard of again.
• Kira triggering Jotaro ^Explanation Fans have noted several similarities between Jotaro's first personal encounter with Kira and the final battle against DIO in Part 3. In both fights, a wounded Jotaro is talked down by a blonde-haired villain who had just punched a hole through his green-clad friend's torso, with Kira even saying DIO's catchphrase. This led to jokes about Jotaro being afflicted with post-traumatic stress disorder from his past encounter with DIO, and Kira's eventual beatdown being the result of him unknowingly pushing Jotaro's Trauma Button.
• Sukisukisukisukisukisukisukisukisukisukisuki! ^Explanation When Josuke's mother Tomoko meets Jotaro for the first time, she mistakes him for Joseph and is so happy that she exclaims, "Suki, suki, suki, suki, suki, suki!" ("I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you!") while rubbing her head into his chest, which immediately led to fans joking that "sukisukisukisukisuki" is her Stand cry.
